The Glenmorangie Company anaerobic digestion project

10 Dec 2015

The Glenmorangie Company has always been aware of the importance of its corporate
responsibility. This includes ensuring that all of its operational and manufacturing activities are carried out sustainably and with due regard to any impact on the environment.

With this commitment to sustainable operations, Glenmorangie decided to evaluate and invest in an effluent plant at the Glenmorangie Distillery at Tain. The discharge from the distillery is directly into the Dornoch Firth. The licence to discharge and associated consent conditions are controlled by the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) with whom The Glenmorangie Company has always had an excellent working relationship. The existing discharge fully meets all SEPA requirements.
