Annual Review 2012

07 May 2013

Chairman's Report
This is an exciting and challenging time for the Scotch Whisky industry. As we reflect on another year of export success and significant contribution to the UK economy, it is also a good time to review the competitive challenges facing the industry.

Chief Executive's Report
2012 was a year of celebration for the Association. The Association marked its Centenary in style and, as I said in my many speeches to mark the event, we have laid good foundations for the next hundred years and well beyond. We also now have a poem specially composed by the Scottish Poet Laureate or Makar, Liz Lochhead, to recognise the achievements of the Association over the last hundred years. Few trade associations can boast that.
