China exporting event - Fri 26 Feb

17 Feb 2016

China, with its population of 1.3 billion and rapid economic growth, has long been seen as a key export market for European companies. With its reputation for quality and authenticity, Scottish food and drink has strong potential among the burgeoning Chinese middle class.

However, recent economic uncertainty, and the persistent threat of counterfeiting, present significant concerns for SMEs taking their first steps in this vast country.

We have gathered a panel of three expert speakers with many years of experience of the Chinese market:

  • James Brodie, Manager, Scotland/Business China Adviser, China-Britain Business Council
  • Tom Duke, UK IP Attaché, British Embassy Beijing
  • Lindesay Low, Senior Legal Counsel, Scotch Whisky Association

This free, interactive event will provide insights on the opportunities and challenges of growing your business in the current Chinese economic and intellectual property environment.

When: Friday 26 February 2016, 2-4.30pm

Where: The Scotch Whisky Association, 1st floor, Quartermile Two, 2 Lister Square, Edinburgh EH3 9GL

Places are strictly limited so early booking is advised
